ABOUT

Flag football at the Field of Dreams runs from August to October. Participants will attend practices before and throughout the season to learn basic football skills such as throwing, catching, and flag pulling. As the season advances, athletes may begin learning more advanced skills such as running routes. Throughout the program, participants will also work on social skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and communication. Participants will put these skills to work in 7-8 games against members of the community, including the Toms River Police Department and local high schools.

ELIGIBILITY

Flag football is open to participants of all abilities, ages 5 and older.

SCHEDULE

Practices will be held on: 8/24, 8/26, 8/31, 9/2, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21. (There will be NO practices on 9/7 and 9/9.)

Games will be held on: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26.
