Flag football at the Field of Dreams is a loosely competitive league that runs from August to October. This is the most involved sports program that we offer, with participants attending twice a week for the length of the program. Participants will attend practices once a week to work on football skills such as throwing, catching, running, and pulling flags, and even some work on remembering plays. Throughout the program, participants will also work on social skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, taking turns, and communication. Participants will put these skills to work in 7-8 games against members of the community, including the Toms River Police Department and local high schools.

Flag football is open to participants of all abilities, ages 5 and older.

Flag football runs once a year on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Practices begin in mid-August, and games begin in early September.

Registration for the 2026 season will open on May 1, 2026. The registration link will be added to this webpage once it is open.
